A Verbarrator Review – easy Spanish verb conjugating!

Conjugating verbs in any language is a daunting task, but it is especially so if you are learning Spanish and you aren’t a native speaker. Fortunately, now there’s a language program you can download onto your computer called Verbarrator, and I decided to give it a try.

Getting the basics of Spanish down had actually been fairly simple, due largely to the quality Spanish language learning programs available on the Internet.  But the verbs — now that was a hairy thought! As a slightly older person I feared the drudgery of rote learning verb conjugations would be beyond me. I’m sure that my head would have hit the table long before I’d learned even a couple of tenses.  And a verb conjugation book is only designed for reference and not really for learning real life language skills.  So when the Verbarrator was recommended I jumped at the chance, and Wow! This was my saving grace and I took to it like a duck to water.

Verbarrator Review

This program is delivered to you by download to your computer, and with the good instructions on the site it was easy to install. There are also clear guides on configuring and using it, so you can get started straight away.

The Verbarrator’s interface is intuitive and very user friendly, you can customize and set the modes so that you work exactly as you want to.  The flexibility is just amazing, and as you can use the “random” mode it ensures that no two sequences of verbs will ever be the same.

You have complete control of the cycle, delay and person filter. There’s the option to choose just the “most practical”, irregular, reflexive, etc. or all verbs. Or you can choose custom verb selection to learn the ones you need first. You can select which tenses you want to practice in, or all tenses but only some forms. And the vosotros form can be switched on or off, depending on whether you are learning Latin American Spanish, or traditional Spanish.

Verbarrator has both Spanish to English and English to Spanish modes. In the Immersion mode you get only one English prompt, the rest is up to you, or you can even turn off the English altogether.

The Verbarrator is certainly fun and easy to get started with. I started with a simple run through, just conjugating five verbs, with the English “tutor” on a short delay, but soon progressed to the setting using the verb in a sentence, this makes the various forms much easier to memorise. Customizing your own exercises is definitely a big part of what makes the Verbarrator so powerful in learning verb conjugations.

With the quick learn 90 most practical Spanish verbs section it is suitable from the beginner level, and using all the additional options it will be helpful to the most advanced level. I would highly recommend this software to anyone struggling with Spanish verbs, you will not get frustrated with an inflexible and rote learning method here.  I’ve never had such a good time while learning and was truly surprised by how easily I started mastering Spanish verb conjugating.

Hope this brief Verbarrator review gives you an idea of just how good this program is, to read more details and customer reviews of the product go to The Verbarrator now.
